NIS2 in Ireland
Ireland has not yet transposed NIS2. The National Cyber Security Bill 2024 has not completed its passage through the Oireachtas, and Ireland has been referred to the CJEU for the delay.

Who will supervise
The NCSC Ireland is the designated lead, with sector regulators in supporting roles. NCSC has published preparatory guidance and encourages entities to work against the bill's text now.
What is specific to Ireland
Ireland hosts an outsized share of EU headquarters for cloud, data centre and digital providers, so the directive's main-establishment jurisdiction rules matter more here than anywhere else: many multinationals will answer to the Irish authority for their EU-wide NIS2 compliance once the law is in force. That makes the Irish implementation nationally late but strategically central.
