NIS2 · National implementation

NIS2 in Slovakia

Slovakia transposed NIS2 through Act No 366/2024 Coll., amending the Cybersecurity Act (69/2018), in force since 1 January 2025.

Supervision

The NBÚ (Národný bezpečnostný úrad) is the national authority, with SK-CERT as national CSIRT. In-scope entities register with the NBÚ within the statutory period from qualifying and report incidents via SK-CERT.

What is specific to Slovakia

The amendment grafts NIS2 onto an existing, relatively mature national framework, keeping Slovak specifics such as mandated cybersecurity audits by certified auditors on a fixed cycle for regulated entities — a stricter evidence regime than the directive requires.
